Attract more international students to your university by becoming a TOEFL® certified test centre
What is a CTAS?
A Certified Test Administration Site (CTAS) is a facility approved by ETS to provide ETS-sponsored tests. The CTAS facility provides a personal computer with Internet access for each test taker.
How Does CTAS benefit test takers and academic institutions?
The increasing number of CTAS facilities provides test takers with more
opportunities and locations for taking the TOEFL iBT® test. Because CTAS
supports testing via the Internet, it enables institutions to assess a greater number of students more efficiently than traditional test methods. Each centre receives training and 24-hour support.
How Does an organisation begin the CTAS certification process?
Simply complete the online application form at www.ets.org/ctas. If you have questions, contact the ETS Global TOEFL team. They can help guide you through the certification process. You can reach the team at TOEFLinfo@etsglobal.org.
There is no cost for the initial application. Technical requirements can be found on the website at www.ets.org/ctas.
Test centres need to address financial, technical and legal aspects of the
agreement. They also will need to conduct a trial on all aspects of the testing process before opening for their first test administration. The certification process can take up to four weeks to complete.
If you are interested in applying to become a test centre, please contact
the ETS Global TOEFL team at TOEFLinfo@etsglobal.org for further details.
Who becomes a CTAS centre and why?
